Sylvia was asked to write a short story for The Sunday People newspaper incorporating a THUNDERBIRDS sequence. This was in the ’90’s and was obviously not for her usual audience. Sylvia said she accepted the offer without a clue how to bring the THUNDERBIRDS characters into a real life story. She finally found a way of doing this and wrote a short story about an estranged married couple who meet to discuss their impending divorce. As the THUNDERBIRDS theme tune fills their uneasy silence they start to realise that they perhaps can re-capture some of the magic of that era together.
