This tape recorder was used in Captain Scarlet and then later in Joe 90.
In Captain Scarlet it can be seen in the episode ‘Codename Europa’ when it is used by Professor Carney in making Spectrum think they were under attack by tanks.
In Joe 90 it can be seen in the episode ‘Project 90’, It is used to record Shane Weston in his office from a van parked outside. Like the previous “Path of Destruction” recorder, the props team also made a puppet sized version.
This unit is a desk dictation machine, again made by Grundig, although a battery pack was available for portable use.
